This is a layout from Element. This is my first impressions which is out 4 different versions. I sometimes pull in too close and miss the mystery in a scene. I"m aiming to make that weakness into a strength, pulling away where I can at different points in the story: Establishing shots.

I'll finish her one day...... I really mean it because I actually feel like the color scheme is something to work with. But I'm really loving how pencil feels on paper again so I've been drawing and painting in the sketchbook, getting better with every image with colors. I'm using Copic Markers and using the 'forced' small palette choice of colors. Not because I want but because I have I think 15 colors at the moment building my set slowly. I have prismacolors and they're great but it's something about Copic's texture that makes me feel like I'm still drawing. The double-sided two-edged marker makes it easy and efficient to getting an image done at the speed of thought.

I say all this to say once I feel the nature to come back to the computer (and I have felt those genes lately) I'm finishing this piece because I like where she's going. My painting will one day have all the bells and whistles I see when I start an image. The process is longer than drawing so I keep telling myself to have patience and work on the next page in the meantime. But a few years from now we'll all look back at this image and I hope to say it started then....

I drew this a few years ago but this was some sketchbook iterations of Ms. Marvel and Spider Woman.

Painted this in photoshop during my time in Lubbock, TX. I was still learning the settings and interface but painted this up and learned a lot. IF I can figure out how to upload my videos under the max limit of the site I'll post it so the you can see this image from scratch. Paint better now but this was still fun!
